The HRC ID provides card holders with a reliable form of identification that can be used as a tool by law enforcement, city departments, health centers, schools, businesses, and cultural arts organizations to better identify, serve, and protect us.

We are a group of activists and organizers who are committed to tangible work expanding access to basic human rights in our community.

Help Us Continue To Provide Services

The Human Rights Coalition of Alachua County provides assistance to a variety of neighbors for issues related to education, immigration, LGBTQIA+, racism. This year we have expanded our services, in part due to the continued financial support of generous donors like you. Please consider making a one-time or recurring donation.

The Rapid Response Hotline was organized to respond to enforcement actions, but is most often used by those seeking to be connected to local resources or register for a community ID drive. The hotline is answered from 8am to 8pm daily.

Let us know how you'd like to help! Regardless of language ability or number of hours you can offer, we'd love to have you join the team.

Uninsured Family Faces Unexpected Medical Tragedy

The Human Rights Coalition of Alachua County is fundraising to help a local immigrant family facing an unexpected medical tragedy. A month ago, the mother suffered a catastrophic brain aneurysm and has since been hospitalized, needing 24 hour care. She will be discharged in the next few weeks, and her family faces the difficult reality that, without insurance or access to insurance, her 24 hr care will now be entirely their responsibility. Having resided in the United States for the last 15 years, the father is the family's sole breadwinner and now also the sole caretaker for his 12 year old daughter, 15 year old son, and his wife. They are a family of scarce resources and we ask that you please consider donating to help this family absorb medical costs, as they look for help providing 24 hour care while the father is at work. Your donation will help this family meet their basic needs while they figure out next steps. Thank you.
